Christmas Craft Snowman Kit
Although everyone loves a snowman at Christmas, making a real one can be a little bit cold, and wet, and the snowman, snowperson, snow-woman, or snow dog might not last all that long. Some of us may not live in a region where snow is even likely at Christmas - which is where this Christmas Craft Snowman kit can save the day.
We love to craft to a musical soundtrack, so love to have our Christmas song and Christmas carol playlist on in the background. It might or might not include Frosty the Snowman or Do You Want to Build a Snowman from Frozen! We love to stay inside in the dry and the warm and make a little snowman family with this great kit.
The package comes with three tubs of white putty, three noses - shaped like traditional carrots of course - six gloriously beady eyes and six arms that stick out at just the right angle, and nine buttons (three colors each). After all, a snowman wants to be smart, and these essential accessories are a great contrast to the white clay. Not only that, you get three hats and a scarf as accessories as well. We found it really easy to mould and shape into snow shapes, and not only that, you don’t need to worry about having to fire the putty as it air dries.
The foam putty has no strong smell or residue, and be prepared for it to be soft to the touch. You do need to leave it for 24 hours to dry and once the snow people are dried, they make great mementos of a family Christmas activity for all the family, ideal as table decorations. The very young members of the family needed a little more help with the smaller pieces but still enjoyed making these lovely little mementos. Even though we decided to use the same standard snowman pattern, every one came out individual, unique, and very Christmassy for the creative kids out there.
Fun fact - people have been making snowmen since at least the 14th century, this is just a more modern way of keeping up tradition!
